The NXA SIEMENS is custom-made with firmware and fixtures designed specifically for Siemens 2.3, 2.4, 2.6, 3.6, and 4.0. These precisely designed fixtures make generator-to-gearbox alignment easy inside any nacelle – safeguarding reliability and optimizing the energy efficiency of the wind turbine.
Shaft alignment tools offer the wind power industry:
Wireless laser heads on magnetic mounts
Industry-leading precision
Solutions for both rotating and non-rotating shafts
The Fixturlaser NXA Pro is perfect for measuring horizontal alignment conditions but its real power is in helping correct misalignment. The dual sensors allow the NXA Pro to maintain the true position of the shafts, even as unintended movements are experienced during the alignment process.
Vertical Machines
The same power and ease of use found in the horizontal alignment program can be found in the vertical alignment program. The vertical alignment program is used when aligning flanged-mounted machines. The gyroscopes in the NXA Pro’s sensors allow the system to accurately measure the angles using the Tripoint Method of measurement, an industry first!
Machine Train
The NXA Pro’s machine train routine simplifies the complexity of aligning multiple units with connecting shafts. The software includes a “minimal moves” function which identifies the best reference machine to minimize the number of moves required to complete the alignment.
Spacer Shaft
With spacer shafts there are two power planes of transmission that need to be aligned to the correct tolerances. The NXA Pro spacer shaft program simplifies the process showing both ends of the spacer shaft coupling with an angle/angle display. The alignment is completed using the Verti-Zontal™ move.
Utilities
Soft Check™
Softcheck™ checks if there is a soft foot condition, i.e. when the motor is not resting firmly on all its feet.
Feetlock™
This program allows the user to test alternate solutions in situations where the movable machine is base bound or bolt bound.
Hotcheck™
This program calculates the appropriate target values for an alignment based on the machine’s hot condition and ambient condition. The utility retrieves two saved shaft alignment measurements — one in the machine’s cold, or ambient condition and one in the hot condition — and then calculates the appropriate target values. Those values can be used the next time to ensure proper alignment at running conditions.
Target Values
Allows the system to compensate for pre-determined alignment targets. The user can establish targets using this function and then go directly to shaft alignment.
Memory Manager
The NXA Pro’s data management function. Measurements can be organized in folders and subfolders. Single measurements and/or complete data structures can be copied to USB stick.
Machine Defined Data
A set of machine configuration templates for storing data for individual machines.
OmniView Activation
Opens a window for activating or deactivating OmniView, the feature that changes the on-screen orientation to match what the user is actually seeing, tracking the user’s position relative to the machine being aligned.
Sampling Time
Allows the user to modify the sampling time of the sensor readings. Also offers the ability to run a repeatability test to determine if the vibration from nearby machines is affecting the data quality of the alignment.
Resolution Shown
Allows the user to adjust the resolution, dependent upon how precise the alignment needs to be.
Extended Alignment
We train customers to use the Verti-Zontal alignment process, taking the final measurement with the sensors at 3:00 or 9:00 taking live reading. But if the situation doesn’t allow easily positioning the sensors at 3:00 or 9:00 the Extended Alignment utility can address the problem. Extended Alignment allows for live readings as long as the sensors are within +/- 45 degrees of the 3:00 or 9:00 position. Extended Alignment can also be used when making live vertical adjustments of machines mounted on adjustable chocks.
