Monitoring and maintaining the condition of your machines is essential to maximizing efficiency and prolonging machine life. You need human expertise and the right tools in order to have an effective condition monitoring program. When choosing from our suite of condition monitoring tools, it is important to look inside your toolbox and take inventory. To start, we’ll give you a sneak peak inside of our toolbox to help you identify gaps in your own:

Smart Machine Checker (Smart and Simple)
If you’re in need of a simple solution for machine diagnostics, then the Smart Machine Checker (SMC) might be for you. SMC conducts automatic diagnostics using our Accurex™ software to give you instant answers to deficiencies in your rotating machinery. Since SMC performs the machine data analysis for you as part of the diagnostic process, anyone on your team regardless of vibration expertise is capable of using it. Use the SMC to check for unbalance, misalignment, bearing defects, structural resonance, and more. Reports describing findings and their severity levels can be generated in Microsoft Word.

Falcon (Smart with Options)
If you like the sound of the SMC but prefer to have access to the raw machine data, then the Falcon is best for you. The Falcon uses Accurex for automatic diagnostics, but you have the option of viewing the raw data when you want to go deeper on the vibration analysis. Machine readings are speedy thanks to our wireless triaxial sensor. Its built-in stroboscope identifies RPM while its laser pyrometer can determine if a coupling is too hot. Use the built-in camera to capture photos of machine defects. Built for the roughest industrial conditions, the Falcon is ATEX Zone 2 certified with the ability to endure 4-foot drops and water. Select from various optional functionalities including unbalance detection, run up coast down testing, frequency analysis and more.

Eagle (Continuous Monitoring)
Consider the Eagle in plants where machine downtime can have catastrophic implications or where machinery operates around the clock. For example, an oil refinery or gas plant will find the Eagle particularly useful. The Eagle is wireless and uses up to 150 triaxial sensors so you can maximize the amount of machinery you monitor while receiving data through a single source. Its wireless and continuous functionality makes it ideal for monitoring hard-to-reach or dangerous machines. Sensors can be moved to different machines to account for periods of high productivity.

MVX (Continuous Monitoring with Wires)
Versatile and advanced, MVX is suited for advanced, real-time monitoring in any industry. MVX has wires and can manage up to 32 channels of data. Collect data on vibration, IPE, voltage, and more. It uses ShockFinder™ technology to detect shock faults on slow spinning shafts. Easily integrate MVX and receive access to reliable machine data.

RT-300 (Shaft Alignment and Vibration Analysis Tablet)
This is our newest and most comprehensive condition monitoring tool. The RT-300 is a portable tablet that offers self-guided apps to make alignments and vibration analyses easy. Similar to the SMC, RT-300 performs automatic diagnostics on machine deficiencies.

Note that data collected by the Falcon, Eagle, and MVX can be easily accessed through our NEST software. Check out our virtual plant to see real use cases for these tools. Now that we’ve covered our set of condition monitoring tools, consider which ones might bridge any existing gaps in your toolbox. Connect with us if you have any questions.
